My name is Aaron and I’m a writer who has specialized in personal finance freelance writing. I’ve written for a variety of websites, including AOL’s Daily Finance, Wisebread, U.S. News & World Report, Credit.com, AARP, Wells Fargo, USC Marshall School of Business, LearnVest, Allstate and many insurance websites.
I’ve gone through a lot of changes in life. … I got married, bought a house, got a dog and we had our first child (a girl!) in 2004.
Despite all of those life lessons, I realized that I really didn’t know that much about things like mortgages, retirement planning and now, saving for my kid’s college fund. Then I started working as a freelance writer, interviewing experts and writing about my experiences and others.
I own a few personal finance blogs already, but when the chance came up to own Before You Invest, I thought it would be a great place to help educate people on investing and how they need to prepare for it. I’ve covered this topic for other websites, and I’ll continue to write about it here. I’m also hiring other writers for the site, so look for a range of voices.
I also want to learn from all of you, and to share those thoughts with readers. I encourage all of you to be active in the comments with any questions or suggestions you may have and I will be sure to take the time to answer as many as I can.
